Personal Data Protection Notice

This notice is provided by Bakırköy Hotels (the "Hotel"), as data controller, under Article 10 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK"), to guests of Zeugma Suit Hotel and Des Suit Hotel, persons making reservation requests and visitors of bakirkoyhotels.com.

2. Personal Data Processed

Identity: name, surname; during your stay, as required by law, ID / passport number, date of birth, nationality, gender.
Contact: phone number, e-mail address.
Customer transaction: reservation request, check-in/check-out dates, number of guests, selected room, extra services such as room decoration, requests and complaints, invoice details.
Finance: payment details (when paid at the hotel or by bank transfer; card details are never collected or stored on the website).
Transaction security: IP address, browser and device information, website logs.
Visual records: CCTV recordings in common areas for security purposes.

3. Purposes

Receiving and evaluating your reservation request and contacting you,
Providing accommodation and the extra services you request (e.g. room decoration),
Reporting guest information to the competent law-enforcement authorities under Identity Notification Law No. 1774 and complying with tax and accommodation legislation,
Invoicing, payment and accounting,
Handling requests and complaints, measuring and improving service quality,
Ensuring the security of the building, guests and staff,
Operating the website securely and measuring visit statistics (not aimed at identifying you),
Sending campaigns and newsletters if you have given explicit consent.

4. Legal Grounds and Collection Method

Your data is collected verbally, in writing or electronically via the website, phone, WhatsApp, e-mail, online travel agencies and the hotel reception, and processed on the legal grounds set out in Article 5(2) KVKK: (c) performance of a contract (reservation and stay), (ç) compliance with legal obligations (identity notification, tax law), (e) establishment, exercise or protection of a right, and (f) our legitimate interests provided that your fundamental rights are not harmed (security, service quality, website statistics). Commercial electronic messages are sent only with your explicit consent.

5. Transfers

Limited to the purposes above, your data may be transferred to legally authorised public authorities (police, gendarmerie, tax administration, etc.), our service providers (hosting, e-mail, accounting, reservation software) and, in legal disputes, to lawyers and courts.

The servers of the analytics and measurement services used on the website (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta) and of WhatsApp may be located abroad; such transfers are carried out in accordance with Article 9 KVKK. Information that directly identifies you, such as name, phone or e-mail, is not sent to these measurement services.

6. Retention

Personal data is kept for the periods required by the applicable legislation and for as long as the purpose of processing requires, and is then deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

7. Your Rights

Under Article 11 KVKK you have the right to learn whether your data is processed, request information, learn the purpose and whether it is used accordingly, know the third parties to whom it is transferred, request correction or deletion, request that third parties be notified, object to a result against you arising exclusively from automated analysis, and claim compensation for damages caused by unlawful processing.

8. How to Apply

You may submit your requests in writing to the address above together with identification documents, via registered e-mail (KEP), or from your registered e-mail address to info@bakirkoyhotels.com. Requests are answered free of charge within 30 days at the latest.
